What’s the story of your presentation?

Humans are animals that can think and express emotions. In Korea, there is a saying, “In a word, I pay off my debt.” I don’t know how it is, but it must be a large amount. I recon you all know the importance of words like that example.
Story has a stronger power to move people’s hearts than any logical persuasion. So, I’m sure storytelling is attracting attention in various fields in these days.

Even when giving lectures, selling, or presenting assignments at universities, the results are markedly different depending on the presence or absence of storytelling. This is because storytelling does not just convey information, but has the characteristics of making it easy to understand and remember the information you want to talk, and elicit emotional immersion and empathy.

Humans are social animals that need communication.

I hope you can give fascinating presentations on any topic and move people’s hearts through the storytelling method we tell you today.

How to organize storytelling?

1. Storytelling has three elements closely connected to each other.

When using storytelling for speech, you should make good use of the three elements: material, content composition, and delivery method.

It is difficult for the audience to sympathize with if the story is too abstract, made up, or exaggerated.

You have to check if it fits well with the message you want to claim, and the stories must be closely related to each other to support your argument.

2. Audience analysis

One of the reasons for the failure of storytelling and speech is to start talking without knowing who the audience is.

If you say what you want to say without considering the characteristics of the audience, it’s hard to expect a good response from the audience. So we recommend analyzing the audience and storytelling through appropriate analogies and illustrative descriptions.

3. Attract the audience’s attention to the first word.

As the old saying goes, “well begun is half done,” it becomes difficult to attract people’s attention if they fail to attract the audience’s attention from the first words they say in the presentation.

For example, famous quotes, proverbs, and accurate statistical records are important for keeping people focused and imaginative.

4. Make up a small story within a long story.

A good story HAS several factors in it and storytelling is also prepared. By adding a story to the speaker’s opinion, the validity of the opinion he will say is presented.
The most important requirement for a good story is the character and it doesn’t have to be human.
At this time, it is recommended that the story be composed of 3 to 5 small stories. Each story will be summarized and concluded, and the shorter the story and the stronger the conclusion, the easier it will be for the audience to remember.

5. Summarize the contents and conclude in connection with the opening remarks.

Please help the audience think about it one more time. “To summarize what I’ve said so far…”Please help the audience with a summary like “To sum up,” or “To sum up, please.
In order to remember the audience’s mind for a long time and bring action to the audience’s mind, it is best to finish the ending in connection with the opening remark and make good use of the storyline.

Good storytelling makes the audience feel good.
What makes the listener feel better is that he or she understands exactly what the speaker is saying. It will be enough to get good results as it can be fully interpreted without misunderstanding the meaning of what you are trying to say. Please make a story suitable for your situation by referring to the above that I shared with you on how to do storytelling well.

By the end of your presentation, I hope your story will be a great storyteller that remains in the audience’s minds.
